What is a CBZ file?
A CBZ file is a comic book archive. It usually stores comic or manga pages as image files inside a ZIP container.
Many comic readers can open CBZ files directly, but PDF is easier to use on Kindle, iPad, Android tablets, printers, and apps that do not support comic archive formats.

Before opening a large comic archive
Large comic archives can use a lot of browser memory. Desktop browsers are usually more reliable than phones for very large files. If a large file fails, close other tabs, use a desktop browser, lower image quality, or use a smaller volume first.
Common comic file issues
If the archive cannot be opened, it may be damaged, encrypted, or not a valid CBZ or ZIP file. If pages appear out of order, check that the original filenames use consistent numbering.

- Large archives may fail if the browser runs out of memory.
- CBR files are not supported yet because they use RAR compression.
- Password-protected archives cannot be opened in this version.

Questions
Can I convert loose image files without making a CBZ?
Not directly. Put the images into a ZIP archive, or rename that ZIP to .cbz, then choose the archive in Mangavia.
Should I use single conversion or batch conversion?
Use single conversion for one CBZ or ZIP file. Use batch conversion when you have several CBZ files and want a separate PDF for each one.
Does batch conversion merge comics into one PDF?
No. Batch mode creates one PDF per CBZ. To make one combined PDF, first put all pages in one archive in the order you want.
Can my archive contain folders?
Yes. Images inside folders are detected. For predictable order, keep folder and file names consistently numbered.
Can I change page order inside the converter?
You can preview the detected order, but not reorder pages in the browser. Rename the source images or rebuild the archive if the order is wrong.
What happens to non-image files in the archive?
They are ignored. If the archive has extra files, remove them when troubleshooting size or page-detection issues.
Will comic metadata or bookmarks be copied to the PDF?
No. The generated PDF is built from the page images. Archive comments, ComicInfo metadata, and reader bookmarks are not copied.
How should I prepare right-to-left manga?
Put the pages in the exact reading sequence before zipping. Mangavia does not add special right-to-left PDF metadata.
